Obituary of Melissa Boettger Ryan

Melissa Boettger Ryan, 44 years old of State College, PA formally of Scranton, PA passed away peacefully on April 4, 2021 while surrounded by family. Born on November 12, 1976 she is the daughter of James and Carole Boettger.

A graduate of Scranton High School, she earned a Masters degree in Sports Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her passing she was an Assistant Registrar at Penn State University.

She is survived by her husband Robert Ryan, sister Justine McCormick and her husband Randy, brothers Jason Boettger and his wife Kristin and Brooks Boettger and his wife Amanda, nieces Cori McCormick, Katie McCormick, and Abigail Boettger, and nephews Christopher McCormick, Matthew McCormick, and Caden Boettger.
