I am so sorry to hear of Allen's passing. Lori was my roommate when I went to Penn State and I was so happy for her to have met and married such a wonderful man. I remember how much fun we had at their wedding and how snowy it was. I am so heartbroken for Lori and her family.

I’m sorry to hear of Allen’s passing. I fell out of touch with him over the years but have fond memories of being kids growing up in Port Matilda - bike riding, back yard football, sled riding down High Street plus all our years at Bald Eagle Area High School. My thoughts and condolences to Jack, Allen’s wife, and the rest of his family. I’ll always cherish the memories I have of Allen.

Lori, Wade, and Hope,
Your husband and Dad was such a good man through and through! We are devastated that we won't see him back at OPP - he was the heart of OPP and he will be sorely missed. I will especially miss talking to him about his drives down to Amish country for vegetables and doughnuts! My husband wanted to go with him sometime because he loves to do that too. Allen was an inspiration and touched every employee at OPP with his smile and friendliness. He gave the best presentations with his wit and approachability.
Please know that you are in the prayers and thoughts of many people at OPP. May his memory be a blessing to you and your extended family.

Lori, Wade and Hope, my prayers and thoughts are with you. Allen was an absolute joy to work with. He was conscientious and hard-working; he lead by example, and would always tell me that he enjoyed his job and wanted to do his part to positively contribute to the university and to OPP - and that he did. He will be sorely missed by those of us at OPP.

Doug and I first met Allen and Lori while our boys were playing football. Allen was the President of the SCAHS Football Booster Club. We enjoyed many wonderful hours together during our Friday Night Lights. Allen was always concerned for the team members and the coaches. He took care of everyone. We watched in awe at how beautifully he gave his time, energy and patience to the team. We remained friends after football ended. Allen had a heart of gold. He was a great cook and a great story teller. He shared both talents often with us. We will miss him working in our garage on his cars. We will miss Allen’s sense of humor; his pride that he took with his scouts; and his dedication to his family. He truly loved Lori, Wade and Hope. His family made his heart sing. Allen Bonsell was a genuine person, who was loved by all of us. Rest In Peace our dear friend.

Bonsell family - thoughts and prayers for you during this difficult time. I grew up with Allen and was a kindergarten through high school classmate. May his legacy live on through his children and may he forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched. God bless
