To Gloria and sons,
I was lucky enough to have had 12 years of standing across from your husband/father.He was so extremely proud of you all. Since I could only see his eyes during those times, I could see them sparkle when speaking of you. I want you to know that not a day went by that he didn’t speak, in some way, about his family. I lived your experiences through him. He explained every detail, you could actually picture being there. I had the pleasure of meeting his “bride” Gloria on several occasions. I could see the look of love and fondness he had for you. He was an awesome teacher who cared about teaching the next generation of surgical specialists, the uncomplicated ways to do General Surgery. By that I mean, find the problem, fix it, and be done.He so enjoyed his work and his patients.
He and I spent hours just talking about stuff. He was always interested in hearing about my family, as well. He would tell jokes and make me laugh at the silliest things. Last Fall, he wrote a Letter of Support that helped me to achieve another level of my job.
I will always be grateful for the time I was able to share with Dr.Fleishman, thanks to his family. I will miss him.
Fondly,
Deb Fluckiger
