Obituary of Terri Colleen Verlinde

Terri Colleen Verlinde, 51, of State College, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Born April 21, 1970, in Manhattan, KS, Terri was the daughter of Gary W. and Colleen Goodin Pierce of Big Spring, TX. She married her husband, Hans Verlinde, in 1989, and a few years later they settled in State College, PA, where they raised their family. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children, Anneke (and Scott) Stewart, Kris, Katrina, and Maarten; her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Kimberly Pierce, and nieces Ashleigh, Kelleigh, and Emaleighs of Big Spring, TX; and her two grandchildren, Hudson and Noa. She was preceded in death by her son, Krin.

After devoting a large part of her life to raising her children, Terri uncovered a passion in the field of real estate, and found joy in serving as a member of the Rutter Home Sales Team of Keller Williams Advantage Realty.

She was a member of Oakwood Presbyterian Church, where she was part of several small groups and sought to be an encouragement to those in and outside the church with whom her life intersected.

Funeral services will be limited to family but will be followed by a public memorial service at a later date.
