So sorry to learn of Al’s passing , he was a very good friend , a good supervisor, and I believe that he was the sole reason for our success , and longevity of our Corning Glass Works plant in State College . Al was fairly young when he started to work as a supervisor in charge of our maintenance shop , when he took a bunch of us young kids , and took on the job of making mechanics out of us . He gave us the taste of the real world “ Al Nestor style . At 3am when the press crashed , or broke down he was right there with us in the heat , glass, oil and grime , helping us do the job right , and getting back into production . Most of us probably spent the biggest part of our work life , working with Al , and in the process , he turned out some pretty sharp mechanics , and instilled a lot of good work ethics in his Mechanics . Al was more than a supervisor, and more than a mentor . He was a friend to many that called him ole Dad . He will be missed and remembered by many for years to come Prayers , and God’s Blessings for Al , his wife Betty ,and his families, may he Rest In Peace . Vic & Joan Wilson
