Obituary of Mary Jane De Barber

Jane De Barber of Boalsburg died on March 26, 2023. She was 93.

Jane is survived by her husband, John; son, Peter; grandson, John Philip and her sister, Cecilia.

Jane was an accomplished watercolorist. She enjoyed painting cards for her friends. She liked to walk in the woods, seeking and identifying wild flowers. She kept tabs on the birds in her yard and could identity all of them. Jane took pride in her collection of exotic house plants and the flowers around her house, including a remarkable wild flower patch. Jane liked to read. Her favorite author was Thomas Hardy. She loved most of all to meet and talk with her friends. Jane loved everybody and everybody loved Jane.

Jane's family will have a gathering with family and friends from 1 until 3pm, on April 8, 2023 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton St, State College.
