I worked at sheetz 122 for quite a few years. Ron always would walk in and yell...TERRI...MORNIN....as he walked back for his coffee
he just had this "presence" about him, you may not have seen him walking in the store....but you knew he was there.
sorry for your loss

Ronald was a freshmen when I was a sr.at Lock Haven state college.he was known to us as boonie he was always so up beat and goofy and he fitted right in with all of us.he was tuff a hard worker .even when he was hurt and couldn't play he was right there with us.he was a member of our 79 championship team.later in our lives through the gray eagles football alumni we all reunited again and it was like we have never left each other.we all met at Ron's house a couple of years ago and he had a penn state white party in his back yard.we all laughed to we cried was a great idea and was a great time. I stayed in contact with boonie and saw him a couple times at Lock Haven and spoke to him weekly when he was battling cancer and he was always upbeat and we talked about him being strong and recovering.i last spoke to Ron a couple of weeks before his surprising passing.he was upbeat and was planning to come to our golf outing the end of april. I was shocked when I got the call he passed.i immediately notified all of our teammates and they all took his loss very hard.ron boonie helton was a great athlete a great friend a good man.i love you boonie and you are missed.
