Roger graduated from Colfax Community High School in 1966 (Colfax, Iowa). If I have done it right, attached is his graduation picture from our school yearbook. I met him and his brother in Boy Scouts. He was a farm boy and I was a town kid, but we hit it off. We went to school together, we hunted together, we were rock hounds together, we ran track together, and did many other activities together. And we were friends. He was quiet, kind, and generous, and he served his Country well. I was fortunate to speak with him a couple of weeks before he passed, for which I am grateful. His life was a blessing for all who knew him.

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Kathy and Roger's family from all of us at the Centre County Historical Society. Such a kind and giving man that has done so much good.
