He was such a larger than life man. I spent so much time at your house on Fairwood that I often wished that was my home too. I remember Gubby helping me carry the entire collection of “Ca” encyclopedias from the elementary school home so I could write a report on “Cats”… I remember waking up early in the morning that January, after the house burned down, and finding people I didn’t know walking out of my family room to get the front door… as you had stayed that night until you’d had a place set up as a temporary home. I remember the smell walking through the house after the fire with Gubby, distinct of wood and smoke, as you looked for things that could be saved, and so amazed that wedding pictures seemed to be intact. Shortly after that, I got to know the whole family and spent countless hours there, house and pet sitting for Trudy and Sassy… babysitting, Space Invaders in the basement, stenciling hearts on the corner of the living/dining room wall, trips to the pool, Stan would patiently flip us all and do reverse flips off the diving board…. Hearing that you were expecting Karli (I think I was 13)… all the high school graduations. Pizza nights on Friday. The camping trip at the KOA, I think it was Long Beach Island in New Jersey, and when you’d returned from Disney World…. I was house sitting. Hayley’s wedding to Michael and Hayley in my wedding (1995). All the memories blur together but Stan, Gubby, Hayley, Brandon and Karli were all a huge part of my life. My heart hurts for you all as you mourn Stan. And know that my heart is with all of you too. This was always my second family…. Love, Paula

Marie and I are so sorry to learn of Stan's passing...we send our condolences. I always enjoyed being in Stan's company, especially within our old Connection Group back at State College CMA..we were good at giving each other "the business" all in good spirits. Looking forward to seeing him again up in Heaven when that day comes.
