George and Tamara and Leschia and I travelled many roads together for many years sharing life in State College. When they decided to settle down and move to Bellefonte we stayed in touch quite a bit celebrating holidays, birthdays and anniversaries together. Many friends from those distant days. Lyn and Leslie, Nina and Nina, Shirley and Terry, Patti, Anna, Sarah. Good times in the 70's in State College and before that a bunch of memories and friends from Redington Pond School in Maine where we worked together. I moved to California in the early 80's and distance and employment meant much less contact. George and Tamara got buys building a wonderful family that celebrated life in their home in Bellefonte and combined chores and travel and always more chores. We visited from time to time either in Pennsylvania or California and even Anguilla. From days at Yale and farming, shepherding, hunting and camping across America, we had good good times. Time passes but stories about George and his adventures will be told forever because he truly touched so many people with his sense of bonhomie. For sure he will be missed but in many ways he will be with us all forever in the light touch of a spring wind, the murmur of the river and always in the stars that shine bright at night.
Thanks to cousin Steve McDougall for sharing these photos.
