Obituary of Donald Robert Andrews

Donald R. Andrews, 46, of State College, PA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at his home.

Born September 22, 1977, he was the son of Duane R. Andrews of Ormsby, PA and Julene A. LaComb Andrews of Smethport, PA.

Don was a 1995 graduate of Bradford Central Christian High School in Bradford, PA. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy for 2 years, traveling to Japan for a deployment.

He was an avid member of the Nittany Mountain Biking Association for many years. Making his career as a bicycle mechanic in the State College area and across the United States.

Don had an intense love for mountain biking, Irish Setters and reading. He is known for always having his beloved Irish Setters, Aemon and Tarly with him where ever he went, including mountain bike trails, near and far. Riding most recently with his beloved Setter, Sterling, who survives.

Don is survived by his parents, his maternal Grandparents, Robert J. Lacomb, Sr. and Elva J. LaComb of Liverpool, NY, and a sister, Kara Y. (Ron) Claycomb of Smethport, PA, two nieces, Brianna R. Tanner of Bradford, PA, and Adrianna M. Claycomb of Smethport, PA, a nephew, Kraig M. (Alexandria) Tanner of Bradford, PA, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by many loyal friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents, Hollis H. Andrews and Beulah T. Andrews Zindren and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Common Wheel of Lancaster, PA  or the Nittany Mountain Biking Association of State College, PA.

At the family's request, there will be no visitations. A memorial will be held at a later date.
