Celebration of Life

Uncle Emory, what an interesting, intellectual, exuberant, hospitable and most pleasant person you would want to know. Emory and BA were the most gracious hosts and friendliest people in State College. They opened their home to me and many of my fraternity brothers from Theta Delta Chi over many years for homecoming. Comfortable beds and breakfast were always waiting for us, no matter what time we rolled in from the Fraternity, walking distance away. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to know these beautiful people. Their nephew, John, was my Fraternity and Pledge brother and roommate while in college. When Emory moved to Foxdale, he opened his small apartment to us again, so we always had a place to crash and enjoy great conversation. Loved hearing all Emory's tales of his travels. There was no lack of wisdom. He will be missed and remembered for a long time. I had the opportunity to see him at Foxdale Homecoming 2023. We pulled him from a poker game to have our visit. Love you, Emory. Rest in peace. Tim "Gus" Gustafson
