Obituary of Eileen Joyce Butchkoski
Eileen passed away May 19, 2024, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Eileen was born December 6, 1952, in Lititz, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Good (Adams). In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Good and sister Paula Kurtz with one surviving sister Helen Good. She is deeply missed by her husband Calvin (Cal) Butchkoski and daughter Claire Butchkoski.
Eileen resided outside Petersburg in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania with her husband. Her Daughter Claire is a paramedic living in Minnesota.
Early on Eileen worked in Banking in Lititz and Dubois Pennsylvania. She attended the Penn State Dubois Campus majoring in Wildlife Technology where she met her husband, both graduating in 1975. She later worked part time for the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Bureau of Wildlife Management, Wildlife Diversity Section (Non-Game) where she was a valued report writer and editor for researchers. After retiring from the Game Commission, she enjoyed weaving and gardening among other things. She often donated weaving projects to help support the Huntingdon County Arts Council.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 277 E. Pine Grove Road, Pine Grove Mills, PA on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 4pm.
