To her family, I worked with Ethel for 3 summers in the 70s at Krislund and stayed in touch with her during the following years. She was such a joy in my life and I'm better for having known her. RIP and God be with her and family. Stew

I am so honored to have known Ethel at Krislund. I was a camper, staff and then camp nurse too. I know all too well all of the hard work that Ethel put in to camp. I am so sad about her passing. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.

Ethel was my second mother. After taking time off from college and summer at Camp Krislund, I lived with the Nyiri family for a year while taking a break from college and then eventually getting back into school a year later. What a blessing she was to give shelter to me and to those of us on our (24hr)Krislund breaks to wash clothes, sleep over and feed us. Her generosity and love with be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ethel had such a giving heart. She opened her home to Krislund staff on weekends and I was fortunate to be one of those who got to know her (and the family) during those weekends. May you find peace in the life that Ethel lived.

As a young Krislund camper, (now in my fifties), miss Ethel was "Our Mother" when we were sick at Camp or just plain Homesick. We could go to her nurses tent for that bandaid ( even if we didn't need it so much), but rather be re-assured as a little kid in Cabins. Thank You for helping to make growing up at Krislund so wonderful for me , knowing our "Mother nurse" was there for us.

My family loved Ethel's wit, humor, and spirit. Most of us know her from Camp Krislund, where she took care of our campers' bumps and bruises, and occasionally, a counselor's broken heart. We know you will miss Ethel -- we all will.

I spent many a weekend in the early 80's at Ethel's house "on furlough" from Krislund as a staff member. She was one of the most gracious, generous and welcoming people I ever met...a friend to everyone who crossed her path. We did so many loads of laundry on her dime before it finally occurred to us to chip in and buy her a new washer and dryer! Thank you for your kindness, Ethel--I love you:)

My condolences to the family. My children (now grown) all grew up attending (and even working) at Krislund and all loved Ethel. I enjoyed talking to her on several occasions. I wish I'd known she'd worked at Abington Hospital - that is my home town. May she rest in peace.
