Obituary of Eva Pettingill

Eva R. Pettingill, 94, of State College, died Friday, February 21, 2014, at her residence. Born February 22, 1919, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Rackoski. In 1939, she married Donald I. Pettingill, who preceded her in death on August 16, 1996. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Lockhart and her husband, William, of State College, three grandchildren, Donald and Joseph Lockhart, Terri Decker and her husband Chad and two great grandchildren, Emma and Matthew Lockhart and one step great grandchild Bailey Decker. She was a 1937 graduate of Bellefonte High School. Eva was employed by Penn State University in the Audio Visual Department and also worked at the State College Area High School as part of the cafeteria staff. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
