Dear Betty & family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of umpiring
with Charlie. He was a very good umpire. who was fun to work with. He added so much to softball in Centre County and PA. I am sorry that I can't be there to pay my respects to a very good friend.

Betty and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of my great Uncle Charles. Playing a game called Kerplunk, umpiring with my Dad, the twinkle in his eyes and his laughter are things I will hold dear for years to come.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

I will miss uncle Charles visits in New York. Was always happy hearing of his visits.he was such a good uncle to all of us ,always had time to sit and visit with us. I can hear him laughing now about the stories he would tell us of his younger days. He never forgot us kids after we moved to New York. He was a very special uncle, the family reunions will never be the same.he was our families rock. Loved him very much.

Condolences to Aunt Betty and family. To this day I still remember Uncle Charlie's contagious laugh! I can still hear it. He could light up a room with his laugh! I remember when Brandy and I were young kids, coming to visit and Uncle Charlie would push us around in his spinning chair what seemed for hours. I always remember looking forward to that and how much fun we had! I know Dad has always thought so much of Uncle Charlie. He has always looked up to him and I know was his favorite Uncle. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Uncle Charlie will be missed. God Bless.
Love, The Roberts Family

My condolence to Aunt Betty my cousins and all how knew and loved my Uncle Charlie. During my younger years of learning to hunt and enjoy the outdoors Uncle Charlie would pick me up the day after Christmas. We would go rabbit hunting on the Benner Pike at our Aunt Katie's farm. Of course we always rode in his VW Beatle in December. Okay, it was cold, good thing I was dressed warm but who cared I was going with Uncle Charlie rabbit hunting. This I remember as some of the greatest times ever hunting and looked forward to him picking me up every year. My neighborhood baseball friends were always happy to see Uncle Charlie too. If we were playing ball he would join in umpiring or pitching even supplying a new ball to me and my friends, we were so happy to see him. Yes I have many more memories to include him tripping and falling into our Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. I was so blessed to have Uncle Charlie as my uncle. I along with many other will miss and love him forever. God Bless.
