Obituary of Effie Jenks

Effie Dunwiddie Jenks, 63, of State College, died June 15, 2014, at her residence. Born February 26, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Barton L. Jenks Jr and Jane Reppert Jenks Small, who survives. She is also survived by a brother, Barton H. Jenks and his wife, Janet Lewis, of Glenview, IL. Effie was a 1973 graduate of Wilmington College where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. She was employed by the Arc of Centre County for thirty-six years retiring as director in 2014. She was a member of State College Friends Meeting (Quaker). A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private burial will be at Friends Cemetery in Stormstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arc of Centre County, 1840 N. Atherton St., State College, PA 16803. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
